Términos y condiciones

Última actualización: 14 de octubre de 2026

Terms and conditions

Last updated: 14 October 2026

1. Who provides the service

FLAPY is a portable battery (power bank) rental service available at FLAPY stations, in the FLAPY app and at flapy.eu. The service is provided by FLAPY RECHARGE LLC (30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States). Contact: legal@flapy.eu.

These terms apply to anyone who rents a battery, with or without the app. By paying the deposit or starting a rental you accept these terms.

2. How the rental works

  • You can rent with the FLAPY app or by scanning the station QR code and paying in your browser, without signing up.
  • The rental starts when the station releases the battery and ends when you return it to a free slot at any FLAPY station. The station detects the return automatically.
  • If the station cannot release a battery, nothing is charged and the deposit is released automatically.
  • Only one battery can be rented at a time per account.

3. Price, deposit and payments

Standard rate (each station's rate is always shown before you pay and is the one that applies):

  • The first 2 minutes of every rental are free.
  • Then €2 per 30 minutes or part thereof.
  • No more than €10 per 24 hours of rental.
  • €25 deposit: held on your card when the rental starts (not charged).

When you return the battery, the time used is charged to your card as a separate payment and the whole deposit is released. Your bank may take a few days to show the release.

If your bank declines that charge at that moment (for example, a blocked card or insufficient funds), the rental amount plus a €2 surcharge is taken from the deposit and the rest is released.

Any amount left unpaid from a previous rental will be charged together with your next rental made with the same card or account.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe (card or Apple Pay). FLAPY does not store your card number.

4. If you do not return the battery

If the battery is not returned within 3 days of the start of the rental, €45 is charged in total for the unreturned battery and the rental is closed.

5. Proper use

You are responsible for the battery from the moment it leaves the station until you return it. You must not:

  • Damage, open or modify the battery or the station.
  • Use the battery for anything other than charging personal electronic devices.
  • Keep the battery beyond the rental period.

If a battery is returned damaged through misuse, FLAPY may claim its cost, up to €45.

6. App account

You do not need an account to rent without the app. In the app you can sign up with email, phone number, Sign in with Apple or Continue with Google. You must be over 18 to create an account and pay. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Account management → Delete account. It cannot be deleted while you have a battery rented or an amount pending. More in the privacy policy.

7. Availability and liability

Station status (available batteries and free slots) is shown in real time but may be inaccurate if there are connection issues. FLAPY does not guarantee batteries or free slots at a specific station at a given time.

FLAPY is not liable for damage to your device arising from use of the battery or for loss of data, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence by FLAPY or where the law does not allow such liability to be limited.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version, with its date, is always on this page. Each rental is governed by the terms in force when you start it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
